Rag Dolls - Shop

 

My Hand made rag dolls are13" high with fabric dye painted faces, stuffed with polyester flame retardent filling, The bodies are made of pink or coffee coloured cotton fabric.  These are hand made, the limbs, body etc. are sewn on a sewing machine but the peices are traditionally  sewn together by hand, using strong Quilting thread, therefore the stitching and shape of the dolls is not always regular as they would be if factory made, but I personally  think this adds to their charm. 

 

They are fully dressed in lace trimmed bloomers with elasticated waist, a dress trimmed with lace and fastening at the back with velcro, and a pinny trimmed with lace. All the outfits are made in the same way as all my dolls outfits, fully finished and overlocked on the seams. Seperate outfits for these soft dolls can be bought in this shop.

The clothes are removable for washing on a 30-40° wash cycle. The body of the dolls are spongable, if heavily soiled they could be hand washed and air dried, but I wouldn't recommend machine washing or tumble drying as the filling could clump cause mishshaping. The shoes are sewn on for safety and to prevent tears if one is lost or misplaced.

 I  take great effort to sew these dolls as securely as possible but please use your own discretion if giving to a very young child, consider yourself how safe it is as you would do with any toy you give to a child and knowing your own child's dexterity and developement. Please also check these toys regularly for tears or pulled stitches.If you are not entirely satisfied before giving to a child you may return it and a full refund will be given.
