Hi again and welcome to more of my blog, today has been so springlike here in Yorkshire. This Morning I sat out in the garden with my coffee and the sun was shining, It actually felt hot on my arms, --wonderful!! But I couldn't take long to bask in it as I had to get back to work on finishing another rag doll, and photograph and list some new outfits to fit Bratz dolls in my shop. No slacking for me on my days off from the day job.
I hope to start on some more outfits to fit my rag dolls soon, so watch out for those. I have a weeks leave from the day job coming up so I should get around to making some then.
This is one of the new outfits I have made to fit 10 inch high bratz dolls. Quite 'frenchified' I was thinking when I took her photo. I have so many ideas floating around my head for outfits but sadly there arn't enough hours in the day to get them all done. Oh well! retirement coming up in four years ;)
In the evenings as I live close to young baby neighbours I can't run my sewing machine, and also am often too tired from being out at work anyway so I turn my hand to the other crafts that I love to do, I was recently interested to try my hand again at crochet, not done any of this for many years, but I wanted to make a blanket for a new arrival to the family, my neices baby. She lives in the Cayman Islands where she works as a Pharmacist in the hospital there and she and her American husband are bringing baby over soon to have the baby christened , so I am trying hard to get this finished.
So here I am (above right) putting the finishing touches to it crocheting a lacy edge all around, and here is the blanket laid out flat, flat-ish. I do hope she will like it, What do you think?
Well until the next time, must fly and get on with making the dinner, now if only we didn't have to do the other chores in life we could use all our time crafting!, but I suppose that would be too greedy. x
Hi Again, well isn't the weather changable, last weekend I bought some lovely spring 'daffys' and it was lovely and sunny with the promise of spring in the air, now today there are raindrops rolling down the window panes.
Certainly last week my cat Jazz thought it was spring, as he is wanting to go out more, he always comes and goes through the living room window! Funny little chap that he is.
This week I've been making another rag doll to add to the store. Her name will be Claudette, as she reminds me of a Claudette whom I once knew, a lovely lady who I once worked alongside.
Just out of interested I have added a post on my other blog page about the making of my rag dolls if you would like to visit there too.
As I took some annual leave from the day job recently I spent the time sewing new dolls outfits such as this cute one on the right here, have just finished listing them in the shop, so pop along there and have a look! I hope to add more rag dollies soon too.
Coming Soon--- Halloween outfits to fit American Girl and Annabell! I only have a small number of these and regret I cannot make any more to order, as the fabric is now discontinued, so grab them whilst you can!
